LRC not responding

I keep running into LRC (I'm up to date with 13, on a mac) not responding and cannot do a simple export function. I'm optimized, I'm up to date, I've rebooted. What's missing?? Why is this happening? Is there a fix/work around?

    1. In LrC /preferences/performance/  is the option to use graphics processor On?
    2. And if so,  is that Auto, or Custom?
    3. If you turn it Off, does the export still fail?
    4. If that works, return to /preferences/performance, and set that option to Custom, but uncheck the last option (Export)
    5. Does LrC still behave during export?

    Have you tried resetting the LrC preferences? Method 1 of below linked Help document explains the procedure.

    Am I going to lose all my presets doing this? I've had them working awhile, this is a new issue. Will they be safe doing this?
