LRC not syncing 779 of 15K images in Lightroom cloud

LRC 12.0.1 on MacOS Monterey 12.6.1 was able to sync/download 14k+ images from the cloud (they were uploaded by the LR Mobile app on iPhone), yet LRC is now stuck for days downloading the remaining 779 images. What to do to complete the syncing ?

Correct answer cmgap

Hold down the option key and tap on the Rebuild Sync button. This should clear up the problem and restart the sync process. It may take some time - keep both Lightroom Classic open and Lightroom on your phone open until the sync is complete.
