LRC opened in full screen (Fn+F) on Macbook Pro M1 14" causes the screen layout shrink to 13"

Hi there,

I have a weird issue to solve. I have a MacBook Pro M1 14" version and sometimes LRC opened in Full screen mode causes the whole interface of the computer shrink into kind of 13" - to fit bellow the camera notch (the menu bar is not on the right and left side of the notch but under). It is easy to fix. You have to just press the fullscreen shortcut again (fn+f) and it gets back to 14". The thing is that it happens randomly to me and it's not easy to spot right at the exact moment so I often find myself to work on 13" screen for half an hour until I change it back to normal 14". I tried to reinstall LRC (kept the preferences saved though, cause don't want to lose them), but it didn't help. I updated my Mac to the lates version of MacOs (currently 13.4.1). Didn’t help either.

I would be really grateful if someone could provide me with some solution because it's a bit annoying.

Thank you very much.

Perhaps an MACOS option is at play that scales the screen for apps that do not work well with the camera cutout

This reply is correct. The effect has nothing to do with Lightroom Classic, but with the “Scale to Fit Below Built-in Camera” option described in the links above, found when you open Get Info for Lightroom Classic in macOS Finder. Set the option the way you prefer.

The effect is most noticeable in full screen mode. For example, if the option is disabled, the notch intrudes into the full screen photo. So for Lightroom Classic, I prefer to enable that option. When enabled, the screen image has to shrink to get below the camera notch.
