LRC opens with the same photo every time instead of latest folder

When I start up LRC it opens with the same photo every time. I have selected "open most recent folder" or even tried selecting "Ask when Lightroom is started" in the preferences, and started LRC again but this doesn't help. Could I accidentally set/locked something on that specific photo that makes it show up every time I start LRC? I use the latest update ( but the problem started before that). I hope someone can help me over here 🙂

There is no such option as 'Open the most recent folder' in the preferences. There is an option 'Open the most recent catalog', but that is obviously something completely different.
