LrC recognizing new SSD

I keep all of my photos on a G-Drive 2TB SSD (the master LrC catalog resides on my MacBook Pro).  I recently purchased a Samsung 4TB SSD, anticipating the need for additional space.  I used Carbon Copy to copy all of my photos from the G-Drive 2TB SSD to the Samsung 4TB SSD (six hours later).

The new 4TB SSD is an exact duplicate of the 2TB SSD.  How do I get LrC to recognize the new Samsung 4TB SSD as the primary repository of photos?

The easiest way is to rename the new disk in the MacOS Finder and give it the exact same name as the old disk had. Rename the old disk so you do not have two disks with identical names (or remove it). That's all. Start Lightroom and it won't know the difference.

Thank you, Johan.  I ended up using the process that Ian provided because I didn't necessarily want to change the SSD name since that drive is also associated with a backup to another SSD and a cloud backup.  Thank you for your quick reply and your assistance.

Many thanks, Ian!  After following part 2 as you suggested, LrC recognized the new SSD and it now operates as though nothing changed.  Truly appreciate the guidance and help!
