LrC Slow performance when switching images in Develop module

⚠️Are you experencing a painfully slow lag moving between images in the Develop module, since the 15.1.1 update? Usually between 3 to 11 seconds delay when simply moving from one image to another. If YES, read on... ⚠️

After 8 hours of 'support' from Adobe I now have a direct line to their Development Team and a live case open which they're investigating. They've asked me to provide system details and contact for anyone else experiencing the same.

And don't panic, they've acknowledged the problem is the update, not your machine!

Please comment here with your system spec. If you can add a screen capture video even better. I'll send them to the Dev Team and update you all on their progress! Cheers, Rich

I’m also experiencing the same issue in my Lightroom Classic. It began after updating to version 15.0, and the only workaround for me is to downgrade to version 14.5.2.

This issue has been affecting my work for almost two months, and there is still no official solution. Some of the suggested fixes in the forum have not been very effective. I hope the Adobe technical team can resolve this issue soon.

    My system is macOS 15.7.3.

Can you clarify? I am still on 14.5.1 version (Windows laptop with 32GB RAM, i7 CPU and Nvidia 3070). It is sluggish sometimes but usable. I’ve been reluctant to upgrade to 15.* considering how many people reported slowdowns.

Have you tried to downgrade your LrC to the older version?

Yes, I’ve tried everything and so have Adobe tech support. they’ve acknowledged that it is an update issue, and have asked if I know of anyone else who has the same problem because I now have an open case directly with their development team. They’re working on it, but if anybody else has the same issue let me know and I’ll pass it on to them.

Rolling back  just means that I can’t then work on any of my catalogues because it’s not backwardly compatible once you’ve done the update. Plus, you lose all the functionality of the updates.
