LrC 'unable to prepare the selected file' message trying to use Topaz Sharpen Plug-in

I have upgraded my iMac desktop to an Apple Studio with Apple silicon.  Chip - Apple M1 Max, Memory 64Gb, HD memory 1Tb, OS - Ventura 13.5.2

 

I usually use Lightroom to process images and most of the images I have are stored on external drives.  I use Topaz Sharpen AI reasonably frequently but recently I have encountered a problem where a lot of images on one of the external drives displays a message telling me 'LR was unable to prepare the selected file’.

 I have been told by Topaz it is an (Adobe) issue linked to upgrading PS to PS2024 and the Plug-ins but they were unable to provide a solution.

 

Is there a solution to this problem?
