LrC WB Selection Tool Sample Area Info does not change

Using LrC 13.2, I recently updated MacOS to Sonoma and LrC to 13.2.  Now when the WB dropper is selected and moved over the photo, the sample area box picks up the color when the dropper first enters the photo and does not change as rhe dropper is moved. The RGB numbers change as the dropper moves.  When the dropper is released the WB of the photo will change to match where thr point of the dropper was.  Any ideas how to get the samplw area box to work properly?
