LRC will not fully open.

Shortly after opening LRC the welcom screen disappears as normal. Then the small LRC window appears with several pictures in the film strip. The wheel of death continues then "Not Responding" message appears. The drivers and Windows apps are all up to dayte. LR has not problem loading and opening. Thank you in advance.

A couple of things to try:

 

  • Reset preferences
  • Update the GPU driver to the latest version (and if it is an NVidia GPU you must use the Studio driver not the game-ready driver)
  • Try opening an unzipped copy of your most recent catalog backup file.

Hi @jamesf99153954, I wanted to confirm that opening a backup catalog helped resolve your issue. Are you able to open Lightroom Classic? Let us know if you need additional help! ^CH

Please tell us the version NUMBER of your LrC. We need version NUMBER and not words like "current" or "up-to-date".
