LRC won't launch - Windows 10

Hey all,

Long time LRC user. Today I went to boot it up and it just wouldn't launch.

I found some older forum posts and tried a range of different solutions and none of them worked.

So far I've tried rolling back from 13.0.1 to 12.5

I've tried the alt + shift to clear preferences before starting.

I've tried launching by opening a catalogue.

None of these have worked.

I even went as far as rolling back to Nvidia studio driver incase it was causing issues with V13.

Windows 10
i7-9700
2070
booting off M.2

All other adobe apps are working (photoshop, premiere, indesign).

Does anyone have a reliable solution to this?

    So far I've tried rolling back from 13.0.1 to 12.5

    Ignoring the date. A inquiry.

     

    When LrC needs to upgrade your catalog, do you avoid using the default rename (i.e. LrC edits say 12, to 13. Or is this catalog (despite date) a very very old one going way way back?

     

    For instance on a catalog I am currently reworking (it is a hobby, and I like to use new methods)

     

     The other day, that 13 would have been a 11, yes upgraded an old catalog created and last edited back at LrC v11.

     

    Point is, are you looking at the correct catalog, via Windows File Explorer???

      Hmm, a bit of an odd thing. the file date in those files

       

       

      What is your computers clock set at?

      And I do not know if changing the clock will cause an issue or solve an issue.

       

      Ah, my bad, are you not in the United States, is that DD/MM/YYYY instead of our U.S.  oddity (to others) of MM//DD//YYYY?

        No lock file from what I can see

          Did you check for an errant lock file?
