LrC won't open

All of a sudden, Lightroom Classic won't open.  It was working fine this evening.  I closed it.  Now I can't open it.  I tried reinstalling; uninstalling and installing a prior version; deleting the preferences file.  Nothing has worked.  Would appreciate advice.  Thanks.

    Please try a complete and clean reinstallation.

    Please follow the steps below:

     

    if you're unable to install the cc desktop app at this stage, use an administrator account (solution 4 here, https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/kb/creative-cloud-missing-damaged.html)

     

    Is your system up-to-date? Check if there any patches and updates are available, especially for the graphic driver. 

    If you have build in a NVidia graphic card  please use the Studio Driver version!!

    Same here, it just took a really long while and then eventually opened.

    After 2 days it fixed itself.

    I've let Lightroom run in the background and after 30 min or so it'll fire up, but I still have this issue after a couple of days. I've gone through every single troubleshooting step posted and nothing has worked.
