LRCC not sorting on Capture Time

My camera was in for repair and when it was returned, I didn't notice that the date and time were all messed up.  I noticed when when processing the images from a couple of games.  I changed the capture date and time on all the images but the images are not sorting properly.  I used two cameras during the game and the photos from the other camera are sorting as expected.  Is LR actually using "Date Digitized" for sorting?  That bit of meta data can't be changed in LR.
