LRCv15 extreme slowness and syncing

Have had absolutely no success in fixing LRCv15. Since installing v15 one week ago LR is essentially unusable. Have incorporated all recommendations suggested in this forum other than reinstallation of v15 with no improvement. As with others in this forum, performance is slow that I can not use LR. My question now is could syncing be the problem? Just noticed that there are approximately 1,300 files waiting to be downloaded to my PC. I have no memory of ever setting up syncing.  Should I do somethinig specific regarding syncing?

You can pause syncing by clicking the cloud icon in the upper-right corner and then clicking Pause Syncing.

John, have installed the patch and LR Classic v15.01 does not work for me. Experiencing the same slowness, and failure to respond in many cases, as before.

 

Any recommendations as to how to proceed will bse appreciated.
