M.2 SSD wont show up on LRC import window, but I can manually import photos from said M.2

Over the last month I've build my self a pc tower to run LRC, PR and PS, which it does at lightening fast speeds

However, ive recently put a 2tb m.2 SSD western digital blue drive in and lrc wont show it on import window, but if I manually locate it within the same window (by clicking the bar at the top) it finds and is able to import photos, is there a reason LRC can't find it on import window or did I do something daft

Pc specs are

Ryzsn 9 7900X

Gig rtx3060 12gb

Corsair DDR5 ram (64gb)

Asus ROG B650 Mobo

Samsung 990 1TB ssd (which it can see)

WD blue 2tb drive (Which it can't see)

WD blue 500gb drive (which it can't see either)

WD blue HDD 3tb (Which it CAN see)

Where in LrC's Import dialog does it not show up? Left side under Source, or right side under Destination?

What does it mean to "manually import" photos?

HI @Robert28700800o3hx, that does not sound fun! Let's try a few steps that may help resolve your issue.

1. Check Disk Management: Ensure your operating system properly recognizes the WD Blue SSD. You can do this by opening Disk Management in Windows and verifying that the drive is listed and has a drive letter assigned.

2. Update Drivers: Could you make sure that all your drivers, especially for the motherboard and SSD, are up to date? Sometimes, outdated drivers can cause recognition issues.
3. Update Lightroom Classic: Check that you have the latest version of LrC.

4. Permissions: Ensure that Lightroom Classic has the necessary permissions to access the drive. This can sometimes be an issue, especially on macOS.

5. Change Connection Ports: Try changing the connector ports and see if that helps.

6. Clear Cache: Although you have already tried clearing the cache, it might be worth doing it again after logging out and logging back in.

Let's see if this works! If not, we will keep trying to troubleshoot. Thanks! ^CH

WD lack drivers to support M.2 ssd, ive noticed its not seeing the 3TB HDD either, although this isn't a major issue as the HDD is there for long term storage but dose show this isn't limited to the M.2 SSD

Ive checked the disk manager - that says its there and working fine, i think I've check whay permissions LRC has, nothing was obviously unchecked or not selected, cleared cashe restarted LRC, let creative cloud update LRC (allthough CC seems to be turning yellow for some strange reason) and unfortunately due to the nature and position of the M.2 drive, putting it in another slot isn't feasible.

Last ditch im going to remove LRC and CC (kill the yellow) and see if re install helps
