M2 processor images rejected by Facebook

I received my new Macbook Pro M2 Max yesterday.  LR & Photoshop work fine on this machine.  However, when I create .jpg's from my raw images & try to upload them to Facebook, FB rejects the images (no explanation).  Has anyone else run into this problem & is there a work-around?

There is no such thing as a 'M2 processor jpg image'. Jpg images are jpg images, regardless of which processor was used to create them. I don't know why Facebook rejected your images. Maybe they were too large (I don't know if there is a size limit), but I do know it was not because you use an M2 processor.

    I was able to solve my own problem with this. I found out that the new MacBook M2 max was making the dimensions of the picture, much larger from Lightroom than the old ones. I simply limited the dimensions of the picture down to about 8000 on the long end and Facebook excepted the picture. With a new computer, it's a learning process all over again.

      It’s unlikely that the Mac itself was doing it. Export sizes from Lightroom Classic are controlled solely by the settings in its own Export dialog box, and it stores its own settings for it.

       

      What probably happened is that when Lightroom Classic was installed on a new computer, the customized Lightroom Classic settings that you used in the Export dialog box on the old Mac (including in the Image Sizing panel) were not migrated over. Because if those personalized Lightroom Classic settings were transferred, then everything should work exactly the same in Lightroom Classic on the new Mac.

       

      If you notice any other differences in the settings on the M2, you might figure out which settings file contains it, find out where the settings file for that feature is on the old Mac (refer to the Adobe help article Preference file and other file locations | Lightroom Classic, and copy the settings to the same place on the new Mac to bring them over.
