Mackbook Pro trackpad freezes on opening LR Classic CC

Hi,

When I open LR Classic CC on my MacBook Pro, the trackpad/ arrow usually freezes or acts oddly - randomly disappearing  from the screen and reappearing somewhere else, etc. It doesn't occur with other programs. I have tried the solutions suggested in the troubleshooting FAQ and it still happens. My laptop is a 2016 MacBook Pro with a 2.7 Ghz Intel Core i7 processor, 16 megs ram,
