(macOS 13.0 M1 MAX) Lightroom Classic suddenly won't open RAW or DNG files

Lightroom Classic won't open RAW or DNG files upon starting work this morning. I do not get any errors or anything, it just goes through the normal process and when the photoshop interface opens, it has not opened.  Interestingly enough, if I use "Open as smart object", the raw file opens. In addition that I can choose the RAW files and "Merge to HDR" , but I just can't open it. It just jumnps from Lightroom Classic to Photoshop and nothing has been opened. No error codes. Nothing. Bridge opens the raw files, and Lightroom Classic opens all.PSD files. JPG files open as they always have.

2022 Apple M1 MAX OS Ventura 13.0

The ONLY thing that has changed is that I copied my old smaller external Hard Drive  onto a much larger one, and then gave the new larger one the same name. There have been no problems with doing that since my Lightroom Catalog is on the computers hard drive. Also, I am having this problem with images that are on the Mac's internal SSD. All apps and OS are up to date. Thank you

Hey @pat@prphotog.com. Welcome to the Lightroom Classic Community. I'll help you figure this out.

What version of Lightroom Classic & Photoshop/Photoshop (beta) are you working on?

If you have Photoshop (beta) 25.0 installed on the machine, which might have been installed overnight due to 'Auto-update' being enabled in the Creative Cloud app, your issue could be related to this known issue: https://community.adobe.com/t5/photoshop-beta-bugs/p-lightroom-classic-gt-edit-in-ps-long-delay-erroneous-error-message-opening-ps-beta-2024-25-0/idi-p/13966962

If you're not working with Photoshop (Beta), try these steps:

Let me know if the issue exists. Thanks!

Sameer,

Huge sigh of relief. I followed all your steps and everyhting is functioning normally again. Thank you veyr much. BTW, for your notes, I am using PS 2023 and not PS Beta. I had not given proper permissions to Lightroom or PS previously ( computer is about 6 weeks old, but it had not affected me unitl now. If that was what it was. Mac OS Ventura uses new names and it just wasn't clicking in my mind unitl now. I was giving it "Accessibility" and not "Full Disk Access". Thank you, thank you!!!
