Make tethering work for Nikon cameras WITHOUT using Rosetta mode. Apple Silicon has been out for a long time now and it's crazy we still have to use Rosetta to tether, slowing the app down.

Lightroom Classic 14.0 was released today and no longer requires Rosetta for Nikon Tethering.

Big News: Nikon Tether has updated to the PTP protocol for improved speed and stability.  Give it a try!

Praise be! Just tested this quickly and happy to say it works. Will run my next shoot with it, so fingers crossed.

For anyone that's reading and in the same situation, here's a solution: use Smart Shooter from Tether Tools alongside Lightroom. Load Smart Shooter first, connect to your camera, then start Lightroom Classic in normal mode and it'll pick up the camera every time.

Adobe - thank me later.

"Adobe - thank me later. "

I don't think Adobe - or anyone else, judging by your other thread on the same topic - really cares.

The word "niche" springs to mind.
