Making Lightgroom Preset incorporating filters.

Hi,

I'm looking to see how I can make a preset in Lightroom so that I can quickly get a particular look easily.

My problem is that this includes using Topaz & OnOne filters and plugins and cannot see a way to record these interactions like you can with an action in Photoshop.

I'm guessing that there must be a way but I cannot seem to find the answer.

If anyone out there knows how to do this then I would be grateful of the answer.

I'm using the latest version of Lightroom CC

Many thanks in advance.

David.

Correct answer Just Shoot Me

There isn't a way to do this in LR. To use an external editor you have to manually send the file to it. With all the external editors what gets returned to LR is either a TIFF or with PS a TIFF or PSD file. Not the original RAW file.

Thanks for the reply,

I realize that the file will not be a raw file or DNG's  what I was looking to see if there was a way to make a preset that would work like an action, as I use some filters a lot and so still end  up in Photoshop a lot.  Not that I have a problem with that as I have been using photoshop for longer than I care to own up to but lets just say that I can remember having to load  a lot of floppy disks in to load the program lol
