Question

Management of photos

I will try to explain what I am wondering about. Is it possible to remove photos from the All Photos directory when I transfer them to different collections. It would be easier to see what's moved and what's left in All Photos.
Sincerely
Ulf/Sweden

'All Photographs' is not a directory, and neither are any of the other listings in this panel. These are all (smart) collections (but collections the user cannot change or remove). So 'All Photographs' is simply a list of all the photographs in your catalog.

No.  'All Photographs' always shows you every image you have imported to the Catalog database. It cannot be changed.

You cannot "transfer" photos out of 'All Photographs'.

To be more selective viewing photos-

You can view selected Folders of images in the Folders panel. (Folders are 'physical' - on your hard-drive.)

You can add/drag photos into a Collection, but Collections are only 'Virtual'. Collections are simply lists of selected photos for a special purpose. One photo (in a folder) can exist in several Collections (Virtual) eg. Collections for a Book, Slideshow, Family Group, etc.
