Question

Many images are missing from final export in Lightroom 7.3.1 - with no error messages!

After selecting all the images within a collection and exporting them, the final count of the exported jpegs is significantly lower than the number Lightroom was confirming I selected for that export.

I've been using this program for many years and have never had this issue until tonight.

The first batch has 510 images. During export, the status bar at the top left area of the sceen says "Export 510 files". When the export finishes, there are only 355 images in the export folder. Lightroom gives me no error messages of any kind.

I deleted the export folder and all 355 images and tried to do the export again, the results were the same.

I then tried to export a collection with 1075 images and ended up with only 650 files. I reluctantly repeated this scenario again hoping for a different result but sadly I got the same number.

I've searched for hours tonight on a solution and haven't been able to even find anyone with this issue.

I hope someone out there has an answer for me.

Thank you...

Thanks for letting us know about it.

It is not reproducible at our end.

We need more information to reproduce and isolate the issue.

  • Are you using any plugin or preset to export?
  • Can you explain the workflow?
  • How are you choosing the destination folder?
  • Are there any duplicates (or) Virtual copies?

Please share system info along with the details.

Thanks,

Indeed a mystery for you after years of Lightroom

Are you using a Preset from the Export menu or like many of us customising a preset to suit task?

Is there a NAS involved as export target?
