Masking Copy Paste

Lightroom Classic 12.0.1

Here are the steps
1) Edit Image A - Applied a few masks in it.

2) Copy Settings of Image A (inlcude masking settings)

3) Paste Settings in Image B (masking settings also gets applied) Note: Masking does not match with Image B.

4) Delete all masks in Image B

5) Create a new Background mask, it still remembers the subject position of Image A and creates the background mask in Image B.

Expectation: It should forget all pasted mask settings of Image A as soon as all masks were deleted from Image B. But it does not.
