Masks and enhancements frequently fail with an unknown error

For around (I think a month or so) I’ve had issues with masks and some of the pre-sets in Develop module.
For example if I go to ‘Enhance portrait’ on many photos where there is a clear person it will fail and pop up a window with title -
Preset: Enhanced Portrait Error.
An unexpected error occurred while processing. (1)

That’s all it says.

Or other times I’ll ask it to pick a subject or I’ll try to create an object and after selecting object or subject then nothing.
Nothing is selected.

I’ve also seen it where I’ve applied a setting across many files, then it will ask to re-apply the AI settings (this is in masking again) even though nothing has changed.

As I see in your System Info you don’t have installed the latest NVidia driver for your graphic device.

Goto NVidia’s website (https://www.nvidia.com/en-us/drivers/details/271420/) and download and install the latest Studio Version of the driver. DON’T use the Game Ready version.

Check also if you whole system is up-to-date. make sure that you have installed all recent updates and patches for the operating system, chipset and the device drivers.

Please provide a copy of your 'System Info'. This can be get from the Lightroom menu item Help > System Info. There's a copy button in the System Info dialog. Press this button and paste the info into a text file and attach it to your next forum post.
