Memory Leak on Windows 10 with LrC v14.0.1?

I upgraded to v14.0 and then again to v14.0.1. After launching LrC,  I have experienced a memory leak that progressively consumes all of my 32GB RAM in a few minutes. This happens even when LrC is merely open and idle on my screen.  See the attached (3x sped up) video to see the effect of the leak.

I'm running Windows 10 HOME with all the latest patches. Build: 10.0.19045 Motherboard: Gigabyte Z690 AORUS ELITE AX DDR4.  32GB of RAM.  Processor: 12th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-12700K, 3600 Mhz.   NVIDIA GeFrce RTX 3060 Ti graphics card.

When I shut down LrC the memory is released.  I have rebooted Windows and restarted LrC and the behaviour persists.

Anyone else experiencing this?

Same problem.  Went away when I paused sync.

That's why I was asking if there are images stuck in the sync process in version 13.3 before upgrading to LrC 14?

Yes. I happened to have started a large sync operation just before upgrading from v13.x to v14.x . It hadn't completed when the app got updated and I launched it.

As a temporary remedy, I have paused sync and have deleted all my cloud files.  I will wait to see the bug fixed before I turn on sync again.

 I have rebooted Windows

By that do you mean:

1. In Windows OS, you selected Shutdown

or

2. In Windows OS, you selected Reset Restart

also, see:

I don't have 'Reset' as an option; just 'Shutdown' and 'Restart'.  I chose 'Restart'.  I have also uninstalled and reinstalled LrC. Sadly, neither of these had any effect on the memory leak issue I am having.

Do you have any other suggestion I might try?

More information from experimentation.  When I start LrC 14.0.1 with cloud sync in the 'paused' state, the memory leak does not happen. I let 2-3 minutes pass, and my RAM consumption remains normal (about 10GB).   However, when I then turn on sync, the leak starts. Even after turning sync off again after a few moments, the lead continues to eat up RAM until it maxes out.  If I then put sync in 'pause' and restart LrC, the app restarts without the memory leak.  So, it appears that this issue is related to sync.
