Since updating LR to 14.0.1 and Mac OS to 15.1 - i've had hanging/ crash and performances issues when working with LR wit the message of your system has run out of memory.,

Here's my set up

Apple Mac Studio - M1 Ultra

64GB RAM

Activity monitor is saying its using 150 GB of RAM ! Should only be a max of 5GB- What's going on ADOBE?

I''m having a similar issue with a M2 Max Macbook pro with 32gb of RAM
It all started after the last update, had never had any kind of problems like this before.

Hey, @supergios & JonathanMendozaPH. I'll help you figure this out if you're still seeing this issue.

One reason for this is related to Lightroom's Sync mechanics, which could be causing items stuck in the Sync queue to overuse RAM.

If you're syncing in Lightroom Classic, you can log in to Lightroom Web (https://adobe.ly/3uv2zCA) and look for the Sync Issues category near the Deleted section on the left part of the screen. If there are any Sync issues, check the file name & the original upload source, apply small edits or tags to these images, and wait a while to check if the edits sync to the cloud.

If this does not help, ensure you have a backup of these images; you can clear them out and also delete them from the deleted section. Sync issues left in the Deleted section can still behave as a Sync Issue; you must also empty them from the Deleted section. After this change, let Lightroom sync for a while and check if it returns to normal.

Let me know how it goes. Thanks!
