Metadata problem

I have a synched collection that, on every photo, there is an icon with three horizontal lines and a down arrow to the right. If I hover over it, it says "Metadata file needs to be updated. Synced with Lightroom. I click on it and it says "The metadata for this photo has been changed in Lightrrom. Save the changes to disk?
If I click on Yes, the icon does not go away? What does it mean?

Thanks

It means that the file has embedded metadata (maybe from another app, maybe because you saved metadata to file one day), but these metadata are no longer the same as the metadata in the catalog. That is why saving metadata to the file again makes the icon go away.

Hi, and thanks for the answer. The problem is still there. I selected all the pictures in LrCC CLassic, clicked on the icon on one of the photos and answe.red yes to the prompt. Now ,ere is the funny part: I've used two cameras. One of the cameras still has the icons and on the other the icons disappeared. The files are DNG from Leica m10r(icons gone) and Leica Q2Mono(icons still there)
Thanks

You probably have to click on a photo if the Q2Mono too. You can also simply ignore it, because it has no relevance. In View - View Options you can turn it off.
