Mid edit, LR will just shut down, this seams to happen if using an of the Ai, LR pre-sets or Mask features. When reopened sometimes the edit has been saved most times not. LRC doesn't seam to be having the issues so far

It seems that your problem is in Lr and not LrC. So you need to post in the proper forum, which is for Lr, and that is the Lightroom Ecosystem forum. Post in that forum, and include the information shown in Lr from the menu command Help->System Info.

This new forum software confuses a lot of people. The first dialog box, where it asks you to briefly describe the problem, should be the title, a few words such “Lr Shuts Down Unexpectedly” and then the next dialog box is where you give the rest of the details.

Please go to the Help menu in Lightroom, then System Info, and copy the text. You can share the info with us by either pasting it as a reply here or in a text file and sharing the file with us. Do you experience this behavior with a particular file format or any file that you try to edit?

You can try resetting Lightroom's preferences by pressing and holding the Shift and Alt keys when launching the app.
