Question

Missing Collections with 12.2 update.

I did the latest update of Lightroom Classic, 12.2. Since then more than half of my Collections are missing. By this I mean they are in the version right before this update but will not tranfer to the current version.  I am not sure whats going on with this issue or if anyone else is experiencing this. But it is very inconvenient.

Thanks to everyone who took the time to offer some insite on this issue. I was in fact, looking at the V12.2 update wrong. I am working out of V12 and everything is fine. Thanks for the  help everyone!

The only time a new catalog is created is when there is a major upgrade as in from version 11 to version 12. So "IF" you were using version 11 and operated directly to version 12.2 a new catalog would have been created. However, if you have been using a previous version of LrC 12 a new catalog would not have been created.

@DamionC ,

Post a screen capture of the folder where your Catalog file is located so other users can see the info files within the folder.

If you view the folder in the option to show as a "list", you will have sufficient information so you can decide which Catalog to double click and open it.

There really is no update or modification to the catalog when you go from LrC 12.1 to LrC 12.2. My guess is that you have (accidentally?) opened the wrong catalog file, and you need to find the correct catalog file.

Thank you for your insite. So with the new update came a new icon labeled
V12-2. I assumed that would be a new catalog to work from. Are you saying I
should ignore the new icon and open just the actual V12 version?

The icon is new, but the catalog file is not, it should be the same catalog file as the day before the update. Your assumption that LrC would create a new catalog to work from is wrong.

So ... just double-click on the new icon.
