Missing DLL files

After downloading my Lr classic to my PC, error prompt when I tried clicking on the app icon: missing DLL files.

Since you didn't post the error message, it's really just guesswork. But I assume that the VCRuntime DLLs are missing. 

If it's so proceeding the following steps:

  1. Click on the link to download latest supported Visual C++ downloads
  2. Under the Visual Studio 2015, 2017, 2019 and 2022 section on this page, download the following executable file: 
        x64: vc_redist.x64.exe
  3. Run the downloaded executable file.
  4. Restart your computer.
  5. Launch Adobe application.

 

If this doesn't help please post the exact error meesage word-by-word. It's necessary for help.

Ok, as I thought there are missing VC Runtime DLLs.

Please follow the steps I wrote in my former post.
