Missing Lens Profiles on one camera body only

I have 2 Nikon D800 cameras. Recently, Lightroom has been unable to find the correct lens profile for all lenses on one body only. It finds them correctly on the other body. The EXIF data does show the correct details. However, whether I try to get Lightroom to automatically select the lens profile, or I search for it manually, the correct lens  profile just isn't there. If selected manually, it tries to find a similar lens, but the profile does not give the appropriate corrections to distortion. The main problem is with the AF-S 16-35mm f4. Manually, it tries to use the AF-S14-24mm f2.8 profile.

Any ideas please?

Double-check that the photos from the troublesome camera are raws and not JPEGs. Most camera profiles are for raw only.

I feel like such a fool.  I have NEVER used my D800s in JPEG mode, but at Christmas, one of my sons used it and changed the settings.  I didn't check, as I always have it in RAW.  Problem solved.

No need to feel like a fool -- this is a very common problem with LR.  A number of people post here each week with similar confusion. There's nothing in the LR user interface that makes it perspicuous.  Given how many people get confused, it would be better if the Lens Correction panel warned users when a non-raw was selected (just as the panel informs users when a lens profile built-in to the raw is being applied).

Finds the lens profile from 1 camera but not another?

If you are using the same iteration, and version #, of Lr with each camera, the variable then is NOT the Lr software . . .

    It's your camera.

You may find a Nikon user here who may be able to help.

Thant's what I was afraid of. It definitely did work previously, and have only noticed it since the latest LR Update.
