Question

Missing Photos in All Collections

I have 2 problems

1. Because a number of my Lightroom CC Catalogue files were corrupted I moved all of my original images to a new folder to start a new Catalogue.  While I forgot how I did this I ended up being able to see all of my photos and am able to work with them in the new Catalogue.  While all of the files in the new folder show up and are working in this  Catalogue, all of my "Collections" which also are listed with their image counts show up with thumbnails but no images found.  I have attached a screenshot of the message when I do a "Find" and it seems incredibly cumbersome as I have many Collections with edits. Is there a shortcut to linking all of these?

2.  My second problem is that my Catalogue shows a total of all Photographs 90,398 and Missing Photographs 49,312.  I am assuming all of the "Missing" photos are duplicates as my number of images is generally in the 35,000 area.

It seems I have gotten myself in a "knot". Since this is recent activity and  I have only viewed and done light adjusting to a few images in my new Catalogue,  I am able  to start all over and create a new Catalogue if that's what it takes.

Any help would be appreciated.  Thanks, Steve

No need to start a new catalog. The easiest recovery (in my opinion) is to retrieve the corrupted photos from your backups (which should not be corrupted), paste these backups into the folders where the originals were before you moved them, and then open the old catalog.
