Missing Photos while not missing

Hello there, even GPT could not help me with this so here I am with my issue: I reorganized my photo folders on my Macbook using finder under naive impression that if I clicked later in LR Classic update folder location everything wouold be fine including of course my edits etc etc. Unfortunately this is not the case. I have been trying all the suggestions that ChatGPT gave me to avail. One example of what I mean: I have 77 photos under one folder whose path is Canon_R5_Photos/Milan by night bla bla. Out of those photos only the 40 are recognized by lightroom the rest no. I tried update foilder location: no, I tried moving within the LR Classic and back: no, the only thing that works is by going one by one photo. With this folder, that would relatively ok, but witha folder that has 100s of photos this would be tedious. Any solutions? Suggestions?
