Question

Missing Presets

All my presets on lightroom classic have disappeared.  They are showing up in Photoshop only.  When I try to reinstall, it claims they are already installed.  I'm sure i'm doing something stupid, but does anyone have any suggestions?

All my presets on LRC are missing.  Tried to reinstall but keep getting message Cannot import, files are already there.  Presets are showing in Photoshop.  What am I doing wrong???

Hi @chufeybartender

Sorry you’re running into this, I know missing presets can be really frustrating. To help narrow this down, could you please share a bit more detail?

  • Lightroom Classic version (Help > About Lightroom Classic)

  • Photoshop version

  • Are these Adobe presets or third-party presets?

  • Do the presets appear in Lightroom Classic under Develop > Presets, or are they completely missing?

  • Have you recently updated Lightroom Classic, Photoshop, or Windows, or moved to a new computer?

  • Are you signed in with the same Adobe ID in both Lightroom Classic and Photoshop?

Also, in Lightroom Classic, please check:

  • Edit > Preferences > Presets → Is “Show partially compatible develop presets” enabled?

  • In the Presets panel, click the “+” menu > Manage Presets and confirm the preset groups are checked.

Once you share these details, we’ll be able to assist you better.

Regards,

Srishti
