Most imported jpegs are scaled down, but not all!

I have used LR for several years, but never experienced this.
After a holyday trip with two cameras, I copied all files to hdd on my Windows10 PC, and then imported them all (about 6500) to LR in one go.
About 90 % of the photos from one camera (Olymus TG6) is scaled down from 4000x3000 til 2048x1536 in LR.
None av the photos from the other camera is scaled.
If I remove a photo that is scaled, and import it again, it is also scaled again. The original photos on hdd stays of course unscaled.
Tried to set thumbnail to 1:1, without luck.

SOLVED. So sorry for taking your time, my mistake! The reduce of files seem to have happend when copying to hdd, so it is not a LR problem. However, how/why this reducing has happened is still a mystery.

Perhaps there was an option set in the camera that causes a lower resolution photo to be taken. Also check to see if there has been a preset applied that would crop the image.

Other than that, I know of no function of Lightroom Classic that changes the pixel dimensions of your photo without you specifically telling LrC to do so.

Thanks, but as mentioned, the original photo out of the camera is not cropped. And I have examined all presets in LR I know of. The most strange thing is that this do not happen to all photos. And there is no pattern when LR scales and when it do not.

This doesn't rule out my first suggestion, that there was an option set in the camera to reduce the size of the image.

Can you make a copy of one of these photos directly from your camera card (not from Lightroom or from your hard disk) and upload it to DropBox or similar service, and provide us the link, so others can look at it?

Are you talking about Lightroom (Lr icon) or Lightroom Classic (LrC icon)?
