Mouse Jumps

Anyone else getting the jumpy mouse issue?

A search of google and this forum shows quick a few getting the same/similar issues of the mouse jumping to the left. Really annoying when trying to adjust sliders!
This only happens when using Lightroom Classic, no other software on my computer causes the same issue. For me it jumps to the very far left of the screen, the "presets" area of the left panel (whether the panel is open or not).
This only happens in LR so thinking that rules out hardware but just to be sure I tried all of the following (and combinations of them) and none of them make a difference:
- GPU acceleration off

- Touch pad off

- touch screen off
- different mouse
- No wacom tablet use
I'm using a Dell XPS15 (9570)

I am a full time photographer and have been using LR since the beginning (long before the cloud stuff!). It's only the recent few years I have had this issue (since maybe 2019/2020)
If Adobe (or anyone) could fix this I might still retain some of my hair.

Many thanks
Adam

LR 13.0.1 and always kept upto date,  though the jumpy mouse issue has been happening for a few years.

Looks like it was a touch screen fault but only LR picked it up.

In any case, general feeling is that LrC is slow in almost every aspect.

What really drives me crazy is the UI stuttering: changing sliders is often a pain since the slider cannot cope with mouse, any editing change takes that extra second, changing view or zoom is often very slow, cropping is difficult because when moving the handle the mouse moves but the cropping rectangles stop and then jumps to he mouse positin, sometimes the UI stops respoding for a couple of seconds.

None of the above problem was present with the same computer on v12.5.

I don't get any of these issues you spec of. That sounds like a performance
issue

My issue is the mouse jumps all the way across the screen a lot! Makes LR
unusable.

Two areas to explore. One in LrC Preferences, the other in Windows Display settings, and perhaps a combination.

First in LrC preferences, the interface tab. What is set for font size? Specifically is it set to 200 or higher  (200, or 250)? Some have had mouse pointer accuracy with that.

Second in Windows Display settings. The setting for Scale. Is it at default (actually called recommended) or have you gone larger? Does playing with that help or hurt?

To make it clear, for me it is nott the mouse which is laggiing but the slider: the mouse mooves smoothly but the slider caannot cope, so at a certain point when moving the mouse the slider stops, than suddenly moves avead, see attached video. THIS WAS NOT HAPPENING WITH V12.x

Mouse movement is stuttering when using sliders: not smooth at all, impossible too do fine adjustements. It all started with 13.0.1

Sorry I skipped the 'tried another mouse' line.

Over the years there have been issues with different mouse hardware but none I recall seeing for a good few years....

What type of mouse is it and does it have software? How many different types of mouse have you tried? I use Macs so am guessing a bit from my 20 yrs on these fora ..
