Question

Moving between folders and collections

I had to create a collection that contained photos from many different dated folders. Then I wanted to delete all those photos. As it's not possible to delete a photo from viewing a collection (which seems strange to me but anyway...) I had to use the "go to folder in library" option and delete from there. However that leaves the navigation pane halfway (or more) down the list of folders, when I want to be back in my collection. So I have to move the scrollbar all the way to the top, expand the list of collections, select my collection and repeat the process. It was really tedious. Is there anyway to either (1) collapse all the open folders with a keyboard shortcut so I don't have to scroll up to the top again or (2) use a keyboard shortcut to go to collections in the navigation pane?

You can delete photos from your catalog while viewing a collection using the "Splat Delete" which on Windows is Ctrl-Alt-Shift-Del (and I'm sure there is an equivalent on Mac but I don't know what it is). CAUTION: No warning message appears that asks you to confirm you want to delete the photo from the catalog.

For Mac keyboard shortcuts: Ctrl = Cmd.
