Moving Lightroom To External Drive

Running Lightroom on an Mac. My Mac was running out of storage space I needed to move entire Picture Folder to an external hard drive. How do I reconfigure Lightroom so it knows to look at the external drive when using Lightroom so it is not looking at the internal IMac hard drive? Light room files etc were in Pictures folder.

 

Any steps on how to do this would be appreciated.

Open the catalog folder on the external drive and launch Lightroom Classic by double clicking the catalog file. Lightroom Classic should now know and remember its location. To relink the folders (do not relink individual photos) in the catalog:
