My attempt to download of lightroom cloud images to make the images available in lightroom classic has stalled with no obvious way to get it to resume
I started the process by ‘asking’ Lightroom Classic to initiate a download of my images based on the choices offered to me by the Adobe software. The download started. There are a lot of images, and the download would sometimes stall, a situation which I would resolve by ‘suggesting’ which download file pieces to download next. Eventually, the process stalled, and I had no way to resume it.
Careful consideration of the evidence I could see led me to submit this bug report. My best educated guess is that a limit in the download facility prevents enough partial downloads from being ‘in progress’ to keep the overall download process going through to completion.
I also observed that my image library (65,000 images) would require the download to be split across quite a few files. I also believe that there is a relatively low limit on the number of download file segments that can be downloaded at once. This, combined with the number of download files being downloaded, triggered a resource-starvation situation of sorts that caused the download to grind to a halt.
