my computor will not find my nikon camera in lightroom

my Nikon d3000 camera will transfer pic over to computer but lightroom will not find my camera to transfer pic after I have taken one

I have only loaded trail I don't want to buy If cant get it to transfer

I do start the transfer part on the page

I don't have the orange transfer cable but the cable I do have will transfer pic off camera

any info to help

    The D3000 is not a supported camera, see A list of cameras that can be tethered to Lightroom.

    The alternative is to use a 'watched folder' and Nikon tethering software ... Auto-import photos into Lightroom
