Question

My iMac screen flickers when using Lightroom 6.14.

iMac 27 inch I7 with 16 GB RAM.

For years I'm using Lightroom 6 on this machine, till suddenly a problem started to occur.

When opening Lightroom and basiscally with any further instruction the screen border coloms start flickering and stabalise after 15 to 30 sec. But it keeps coming up, making working with the program close to impossible.

Updates for 6.14 are not available, and reinstallation of Lightroom is no longer supported.

Any idea what I could do?

Thanks.

I’m running Ventura 13.6.1 for the moment.

It is possible to obtain an installer for Lightroom 6.14 but it is 32 bit, macOS Ventura requires a 64 bit installer so if you uninstall Lightroom 6.14 you will not be able to reinstall.

Lightroom 6 was released in April 2015 and the latest update was Dec 2017, it was designed to work with computer hardware and operating systems available at that time.
Computer hardware and operating systems have evolved way beyond that stage.
