Question

My laptop was stolen, is there a way to get my presets back?

My laptop was stolen. I had many many user presets saved in Lightroom. When I got my new laptop and opened up Lightroom, all my user presets were gone. If there isn't a way to get them, does anyone know of a software where I could upload a photo and it would tell me what adjustments were made?

As you apparently still have your photos (edited with these presets), I assume that you made backups and restored your photos and your catalog from a backup? If you have a backup from the entire hard drive, then you can find the location of your presets (in the backup) here:

Exiftool can spit out any metadata you have in a file, but it's command line. Jeffrey Friedl did have an online version, but it's offline currently.

This may be useful too: https://www.capturemonkey.com/xmpextract/

It puts any XMP information into a sidecar file which you could read settings from.

But they'll only work if metadata was saved to XMP in LrC. If it wasn't, all that's available is the original unedited file.

Get your presets back from your backups.
