Question

My Lightroom classic will Not Open on Mac

Lightroom and Lightroom Classic won't open. It just keeps spinning. The other Adobe programs work perfectly fine. I'm using Ventura 13.7.

I have tried a clean uninstall, using OP/Shot, resetting preferences, and a regular uninstall. I have tried all the solutions I have found here.

Using Finder, bring up the folder your catalog is in. Does a lock file exist? Typically you should get an error message if this is the case when starting LrC, but IMO that error message does not always occur (perhaps user issue??)

So, I found the lock file. Deleted it. Started LRC, and the lock file was back. I haven't used LRC or LR on this user account before, could that have something to do with it? It works on the other user account on the iMac.

Yes, lock files are supposed to be created when you launch LrC, this is not the problem. In fact, the lock file was not the answer as you can read at the link given, as you didn't have that error message.

Try creating a new user account on your Mac and opening LrC from that new user account.
