My LR wants to be on both my monitors. How do I get it on only one?

In the window menu->secondary display, you can toggle the window on a second monitor on and off. You can also hit command-F11 to toggle the secondary display.

What do you mean with "wants to be on both monitors"? Do both monitors show the exact same thing? If so, then you probably have set the monitors to 'mirroring'. This has nothing to do with Lightroom (everything will be mirrored) but is a MacOS system setting.

Thanks for answering. It was a LR thing but I got it sorted out. Now I just need to find how to get the upper banner with the part about selecting no keywords to show up. Donna

If with "upper banner" you mean the filter bar, then press the '\' (backslash) key.
