Question

Navigating collections in the Book module

Dear Community,

I am designing a book in the Lightroom Classic (13.4) Book Module.

The photos I want to use, are in different collections. But I cannot figure out how to change the collection in the Filmstrip section without also changing the book I am looking at. Can you help?

I could of course put all the photos in one collection, but that would make the layout process extremely slow and annoying.

Thanks!

Placing all the photos in one collection would be my first method, but alternatively-

1) Create a book from one collection with your layout

2) Save the Book - Which creates a new 'Saved Book Collection'

3) Back in Library select another standard Collection of photos (or photos from any folders) and drag them (add them) onto the 'Saved Book Collection'

4) Re-open your Saved Book by a [double-click] on the 'Saved Book Collection'

These additional photos will now appear at the 'end' of the filmstrip in the Book module to add to extra added pages. Repeat Steps 3) & 4) to add more photos.
