The only way that I know how to update macOS beyond that officially supported by Apple is to use a third party patcher such as “OpenCore Legacy Patcher (OCLP)”

I suggest you use Google for more info on ‘OpenCore Legacy Patcher’.

I completely understand that upgrading your operating system may not be convenient, especially if your current setup is working well for your existing workflow.

As per Adobe’s Creative Cloud Support Policy, Adobe provides support for the two most recent versions of Creative Cloud applications: https://helpx.adobe.com/support/programs/cc-support-policy.html

Older versions may only be provided in specific situations where there is a qualifying dependency, such as compatibility with supported third-party plugins.

Unfortunately, an LTS (Long-Term Supported) version of Lightroom or Lightroom Classic is not currently available. I understand this may not be the answer you were hoping for.

If possible, I would recommend updating your operating system to a supported version so that you can install and use a currently supported version of Lightroom.

In the meantime, you may also consider using Lightroom on the web at https://lightroom.adobe.com/ as an alternative.

There are many threads about this. Some people have success by contacting Adobe tech support and asking. Others report that sometimes they have to contact tech support many tiimes (getting a different agent each time) in order to find someone who can help. And some people find that they can’t find an agent that can help after many calls.
