NEED HELP: Lightroom 4 crashes with Mac High Sierra 10.13.1 Upgrade

Hi world,

Hoping someone can help me here.  I just used my Lightroom 4 desktop app for the first time after upgrading my OS to Mac High Sierra 10.13.1.  I use a memory card usb adaptor to upload my images.  The first batch went fine.  The 2nd one started the issue (using the same adaptor).  The program loads fine until I plug in the adaptor and it immediately crashes.  It's driving me nuts!  Help!

System specs attached.

The same thing was happening to me. But it works fine by doing things in this order:

1. Open Lightroom

2. Click on IMPORT

3. Insert SD Card

4. Import Images

You could try downloading and installing LR 4.4.1 (you have 4.4).  It likely won't make a difference, but it's worth a try: Re: Looking for Lightroom 4 Mac installer download

Unfortunately nothing helps.

Unfortunately Lightroom 4 was never supported on the last several versions of Mac OS X and there already were major issues with previous Mac OS X versions, so it is not surprising that it doesn't work. Your only option is likely to upgrade Lightroom to a newer version.
