Need Lightroom Classic 11 for macOS 12.7.6 (Monterey)

Hi, I’m using macOS 12.7.6 (Monterey) and the latest Lightroom Classic isn’t supported on my system.

I have an active Adobe account and I’m also a student.
Could you please help me access or provide a download link for Lightroom Classic 11, which is compatible with Monterey?

Monterey is no longer supported by either Apple or Adobe. It is not getting security patches and is not really safe to use online.

Adobe has made the business decision only allow downloads of the current and one previous version of its CC apps. You won’t be able to install older versions.

Your best bet is to budget for a replacement Mac, if your cannot be upgraded past Monterey. Apple’s current Apple Silicon machines came out in 2020 and are FAR faster than older models, and Apple is discontinuing support for the older Intel models.

Apologies for the delayed response. I understand that upgrading to a newer macOS version may not be possible for you right now.

As technology continues to evolve, we need to keep our apps updated to work reliably with newer operating systems, hardware, security requirements, and technologies. macOS Monterey is also no longer supported by Apple and no longer receives regular updates or fixes.

As operating systems continue to advance, we need to focus our development, testing, and support efforts on newer, supported environments. Supporting much older application and operating system versions also makes it increasingly difficult to investigate issues and provide reliable fixes.

This is the reason, Adobe makes the current and previous major versions available for installation. This allows us to provide better performance, stability, and ongoing support.

If you already have an older compatible version of Lightroom Classic installed, you may continue using it for as long as it works in your current environment. However, if you encounter an issue specific to an unsupported version or operating system, we may not be able to provide a fix.

We understand that upgrading your operating system or hardware isn't always immediately possible, and we appreciate your understanding.

Some people report that if you contact Adobe Tech Support and explain your situation, they will provide a link for you to download LrC 11. Some people also report that they had to call several times to find a tech support person who understands what you want and then knows how to provide you the download link.
