Need the last recent Lightroom 6 Installation files for re-install

Hello folks,

I want to re-install my LR6 to a newly configured MAC. The old Windows install files I have, and also the valid serial number for both MAC and Windows.

Though Adobe does not provide the installation files any more.

Anyone able to help me?

Thanks much!

That's worth a try, thanks. I will report next week...

Thanks again all. Seems the best and only solution is the one I chose already: Lightroom install under Windows 11/Parallels. That's the way it works.

To be clear and yes, you do need to tell us about  your Mac hardware and what OS it can run:LR6 should run as a 64-bit application under Monterey and maybe Ventura (I never tried that) but installing it is the issue; you must boot into an OS that can support the 32-bit installer (the last being Mojave). That's a big problem for M1's because Monterey, Big Sur, Catalina and M1 Macs do not run 32-bit and can't boot into Mojave.
IF your new Mac isn't an M1 (Apple Silicon), you are OK, but if it is an M1, you're SOL.

Thanks for the quick answers. That is sad: I have the M1 architecture with latest OS. I understand, there is no way to install LR6 on this MAC (or another without M1 and then transfer ?) .

As a workaround I just tried installing Parallels Windows with the LR version I have. At least that worked- no idea about the performance or other issues yet ....

It's possible that Apples Migration Assistant might transfer the old version to the new M1; not sure, I've not tried this with my new M1 (and did a clean install with a subscription version, no problem).

If you have a newly configured Mac, then I assume it's running one of the latest versions of MacOS? If so, then you cannot install Lightroom 6 on it. You may have a serial number but the license routines are 32 bits and the last few versions of MacOS are 64 bits only.

BTW, Adobe does provide the files till the end of next year: https://helpx.adobe.com/lightroom-classic/help/lightroom-6-end-of-support.html

Thanks Johan! The link worked. Still need to check how/if this can be transferred onto my Macbook M1 😉
