Question

Need to reinstall on new computer

In 2013 I purchased LR4 from Newegg with a free download of LR5 upgrade.

It was down loaded with a product key and through time, updated to 5.7 (latest version of 5, prior to LR6 release)...

I had to replace my computer but I was never sent a LR5 disk and I have long since lost any paperwork that might have had a key code on it...

I know that I can download the program again (the site for that isn't with me so I can't reference it) but don't I have to have LR5 in order to upgrade it to 5.7?

Also, don't I have to have a valid LR5 key?

Am I stuck going back in time to LR4, or purchasing LR6?

I'm under the impression that LR6 doesn't play well with win10...

What can I do?

You should be able to retrieve your Lightroom 5 serial number from your Adobe account. Lightroom 6 runs fine on Windows 10.

Lightroom CC is a new cloud-based version of lightroom.  Is that what you're asking about.?

If yes, there's no serial number attached to creative loud products and services.  Simply log-in with your Adobe ID (email) and password.
