New Autotone

A couple of questions

1. It seems that if you have applied a preset to an image the autofeature is not available. You have to reset your image first?

2. The autotone in the library module produces a different result than the new auto in the development module?

3. How do you include the new auto setting in your presets?

    Re Question 2:

Looking at those values for Auto in Library and Develop, it looks as though you haven't updated Classic to 7.1....they look like the sort of values you'd get from the pre-7.1 Auto Tone. In which case they would definitely be different that LRCC mobile, using the new Auto Settings.

    1. Shouldn't have to reset first, unless the preset you apply already contains Auto Settings.

    2. Possibly because the previews in Library and Develop are different.

    3. When you create a new preset, the "New Develop Preset" dialog box includes a checkbox for "Auto Settings".

    Hi, re question 2

i did not mean they look different. The resulting settings are different depending on how you invoke the auto feature

example. In LR mobile pressing auto gives basic settings from exposure to saturation, as seen in LR classic:

    +0,01

    -22

    -83

    +58

    +19

    -25

    +11

    +3

resetting all sliders and pressing auto in development module in LR classic:

    +0,85

    0

    -28

    +28

    +7

    -37

    0

    0

resetting all sliders and pressing auto tone in the library module:

    +0,80

    0

    -22

    +22

    +5

    -37

    0

    0

the image looks good with lrm settings and overexposed and no vibrance or saturation applied. Clearly different processes are involved. Syncing carries the respective settings across

question 3. Selecting auto in preset chooses the development auto process, which is as expected.
